High Alumina Fused Cast Refractory
Marsnite (MB) Series
- Anti-Contamination
- High Corrosion Resistance
Marsnite (MB) is a high alumina fused cast refractory produced by melting high-purity alumina raw materials at over 2000℃ and casting them into designated shapes.
Features
01. Excellent Anti-contamination
Selected alumina raw materials and strict quality control minimize the formation of stones and blisters in molten glass. Marsnite(MB) also offer high resistance to alkali vapor within glass melting furnaces, making them suitable for Superstructures and low-temperature glass contact areas.
02. High Corrosion Resistance
Selected alumina raw materials and optimal production conditions produce very dense alumina fused cast refractories, especially resistant to corrosion by low-temperature molten glass, suitable for glass contact parts.
Marsnite (MB) Series Product Lineup
MB-G (αβ-Alumina)
Composed of about 50% α-alumina and 50% β-alumina. Shows corrosion resistance equivalent to AZS below 1300℃ with low contamination, suitable for Working end and Forehearth channel blocks.
MB-C (αβ-Alumina)
Composed of 70% α-alumina and 30% β-alumina, offering excellent stability at high temperatures, suitable for Superstructures and Crowns of melting furnaces.
MB-U (β-Alumina)
Composed almost exclusively of β-alumina, featuring large crystal grains. Demonstrates high corrosion resistance and anti-spalling properties against alkali vapor, suitable for Superstructures exposed to thermal shock.

Casting Type
| Mark | Name | Casting Type Description |
|---|---|---|
| RC | Regular Cast |
Standard casting type. The product has casting voids (shrinkage voids) at the bottom of the casting gate. |
| VF | Void Free |
After casting and cooling/solidification, the casting void portion is cut off, resulting in a product without voids. |
